The inconsistent start for the NZ Breakers to the latest ANBL season continues with a loss to leaders Melbourne United, just two days after the beat the Tasmania JackJumpers.
United were too strong at home winning 104-88 giving the Breakers a record of two wins and six losses for the season so far.

American import Izaiah Brockington topped the scoring for the Breakers with 25 points, while guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright made 20 points to go with his 21 a couple of days ago. He also had nine rebounds and nine assists

Melbourne United are unbeaten after seven matches this season and, after leading 28-17 after the first quarter, they left the Breakers struggling by a 17-2 run in the second quarter for a 56-38 halftime buffer.
Australian start Chris Goulding led the home side with 23 while four others hit double figures.
The Breakers struck back in the third quarter, reducing the deficit to just nine points, before United took control again.
The Breakers' next outing is against Brisbane Bullets in Auckland on Thursday.
