Black Caps win final test over West Indies

The Black Caps have wrapped up the test series against the West Indies 2-0 after winning the third game by 323 runs.
Set 462 to win the visitors were dismissed for just 138 on the afternoon of the final day at Bay Oval at Mt Maunganui.

Jacob Duffy took three five wicket bags in each of the three tests. Only Sir Richard Hadlee with 33 against Austrlaian in 1985 and Bruce Taylor, 27 against the West Indies in 1972 have taken more wickets than Duffy's 23 in a three match series.
Thirty-one-year-old Duffy broke Hadlee's record of the most wickets in a calendar year. Hadless took 79 wickets from 23 matches at an average of 18.51 in 1985.
The Southlander took 81 wickets at an average of 16 from 36 internationals across the year.
Duffy who started the series with just a couple of tests to his name finish the test with 4-86 in the first innings nad 5-42 in the second.
Other wicket takers on day five were Ajaz Patel with 3-23 from 32 overs as well as Glenn Phillips taking 1-14 from five and Rachin Ravindra one wicket for no runs from two overs.
In the batting Devon Conway notched up innings of 227 and 100, while captain Tom Latham hit two centuries and Ravindra hit 72 not out and 46 not out in the third test.
The first test at Hagley Oval was a draw. The second at the Basin Reserve saw victory for the home side.
The next time the Black Caps are together is against India in an ODI and T20 series starting Sunday 11 January in India
