Black Caps in winning position against Ireland

New Zealand are looking set to win the tets aainst Ireland after they enforced the follow-on and have the home side 65-2 in their second innings still 246 runs behind the Black Caps total of 490-8 declared.
The New Zealand innings from 361-5 to 490-8 as Tom Blundell eventually went for 186.
LATEST HEADLINES:
On debut Dean Foxcroft made 98 from 129 balls with six four and one six. Nathan Smith reached 17 before being run out.
Ireland then batted, but struggled from the start making a firstt innings total of 179 thanks mainly to Smith taking 6-40 with three maidens from 14 overs.
Smith took the first three wickets to fall as Andy McBrine was left 73 not out and Mark Adair scored 40 in an otherwise sorry looking innings for Ireland in Belfast.
Ben Sears took 2-27 while Zak Foulkes and Blair Tickner shared the remaining wickets.
Tickner has picked up the two wickets in the home sides second innings.
the third day of the one-off test continues tomorrow with the Black Caps using the match as build up for the series against England.
