A steady fall of wickets has cost the Black Caps the opportunity wrap up the T20 series against South Africaafter losing the fourth match n Wellington by runs


South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first and were held to 164-5.with Kyle Jamieson taking 2-29 off his four overs, while Ben Sears kept the visitors batters in the final over.

Sears also took the wicket of Connor Esterhuizen, who top-scored for South Africa, with 57 runs off 36 balls.


At bat New Zealand had some some scores of substance in the top order as Tim Robinson made 32 from 22 balls including four fours and one six.


Dane Cleaver hit 26 from 16 and Nick Kelly 19 runs but the wickets kept falling.


Katene Clarke weren tfor nine, Bevon Jacobs three, captain of the night James Neesham for six before Cole McConchie and Josh Clarkson both scored 10.


Zak Foulkes fell for seven and Jamieson 13 leaving Sears not out two as the Black Caps were dismissed for 145 with seven balls still to be bowled.


Gera;ld Coetzee was the best of the South African bowlers taking 3-31 from 3.5 overs.


The fifth and final game will be played in Christchurch on Wednesday.
