Amelia Garvey makes cut at Scottish Open

New Zealand's Amelia Garvey has made the cut at the LPGA Scottish Open at North Ayrshireon on the Dundonald Links in the lead-up tournament to the Open Championship next week.
Garvey is at five-over and tied 49th after a one-over round with the majority of the field struggling to go under par.

The 26-year-old from Christchurch carded a second round 73, an improvement on her first round 76.
Starting on the back nine she bogeyed the 12th and double bogeyed the 13th before settling for birdies at the 14th, 17th, 18th and first holes. However bogeys at the fourth and sixth holes pulled her round back again.
Fellow Kiwi Momoka Kobori finished well back at 15-over.
Jenny Shin from Korea is the runaway leader at the Scottish Open at 11-under at the halfway stage of the tournament. Only the top 11 players are even or under par.
Garvey was tied sixth at her previous tournament the Czech Open on the Ladies European Tour.
The Women's Open is next week at Royal Lytham and St Anne's. Lydia Ko won the tournament in 2024.
