Auckland FC sign experienced defender Calver

Australian defender Aaron Calver is back in the A-League signing with Auckland FC for the upcoming season.
The centre-back made more than 90 A-League appearances, winning two premierships and a championship with Sydney FC, before moving to Korea in 2022.
LATEST HEADLINES:
Calver, 30played nearly 70 matches across the K-League 1 and 2, including winning the K-League 2 Championship with Gwangju FC in 2022.
Most recently, the 30-year-old has starred for NPL Victoria club Hume City FC.
"Coming back to the A-League, especially with such an ambitious group, right off the back of a title, is an opportunity that I just couldn't say no to," Calver said.
"I'm here, I'm ready and excited to help Auckland defend their title."
Auckland FC's director of football, Terry McFlynn, is delighted to add a veteran player to the backline for the upcoming season.
"Aaron is a top player with a lot of experience, and he will serve as a much-needed reinforcement for our backline this season.
"He's a trophy winner, and when you can bring someone into your squad with trophy-winning experience, especially A-League ones, it makes the signing even better for us."
