Paris Olympian Samara Maxwell has an opportunity to become the first New Zealand female to win a UCI MTB Elite World Series title at the final round in Canada over the weekend.

New Zealand’s Samara Maxwell had to settle for sixth place but still maintains a significant lead after the final European leg of the UCI MTB Cross-country World Series in Switzerland.

Only a few days after the massive test of the world championships, kiwi mountain bikers were back in action in the final European stop of the UCI World Series in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.

There are plenty of medals up for grabs for Kiwi riders at the final round of the UCI MTB World Cup.
