Usually a fullback CNK almost had a fifth try, but it was ruled out. And for all of the success on the wing there may be a loss with star player Jackson Ford leaving the game early with a torn pec that may sideline him for several weeks.

CNK scored three of his tries in the first half as the Warriors eventually led 14-12 at the break and then decided to add another shortly into the second spell.

Nicoll-Klokstad singlehandedly had his team ahead 14-10 at halftime, with three of his tries in the opening 40 minutes, then added another shortly after the restart.

The Cowboys were certainly in the contest thanks to tries from wing Braidon Burns and fullback Scott Drinkwater.

However Jason Taumalolo was sin-binned for a dangerous tackle on Nicoll-Klokstad, the home side capitalised, with right wing Dallin Watene-Zelezniak crossing in front of the big crowd..

There were also tries for Adam Pompey and Taine Tuaupiki in the second half in an overall performance which was satisfactory on the winning side, but still had plenty to improve on.

The Cowboys had a late try to Jeremiah Nanai while Burns crossed for a second.

The Warriors travel to Brisbane next Saturday to face a Dolphins who are on a seven-game winning streak.
