Warriors sign Bailey Biondi-Odo for 2027 season
Former Canterbury Bankstown halfback Bailey Biondi-Odo has signed with the One New Zealand Warriors on a development contract for the 2027 NRL season.
The 24-year-old will join the club after three seasons with the Townsville Blackhawks in the Queensland Cup following 17 NRL appearances for the Bulldogs in the 2021-2022 seasons.

In his just-completed Queensland Cup campaign, the Mount Isa-born Biondo-Odo scored 13 tries in 17 appearances while racking up 10 line breaks, 19 try assists, 13 line break assists and 29 tackle breaks.
“Bailey showed a lot of promise when he broke into the NRL with the Bulldogs and has just come out of a terrific season with Townsville,” said One New Zealand Warriors general manager recruitment, pathways and development Andrew McFadden.
“We’re excited to bring him into our system and give him this opportunity. He’ll boost our resources in the halves and add to the competition for spots.”
After being used mainly off the bench in his NRL outings, Biondi-Odo suffered an ACL knee injury in late 2022 and in 2024 left the Bulldogs to join the Blackhawks.
He has made a total of 74 appearances in the New South Wales Cup and Queensland Cup competitions scoring 39 tries in all.
In 2024 Biondi-Odo represented the Ron Griffiths-coached Indigenous All Stars in their 22-14 win over the Māori All Stars in Townsville (his father is of Papua New Guinean-Torres Strait Islander descent, his mother Aboriginal-Italian descent).
