Not a great start to the 2026 NRL pre-season for the Warriors with a 33-18 dismissal by the Manly Sea Eagles in Napier

It wasn't pretty, but there was a mixture of players missing for the All Stars against a side which already looks top four this season.

LATEST HEADLINES:

The Andrew Webster coached Warriors struggled for possession and to hold the ball for the six tackles while defence was also an issue as mistakes mounted throughout the contest which Manly led 16-10 at the break.

Three players stood up -Harry Inch, Paea Sikuvea and Jack Thompson but overall it was a poor performance and hopefully for fans something they won't make a habit of this season.

Ali Leiataua scored a couple from Manly errors in greasy conditions which didn't help either side. Harry Tauafiafi-Iutoi and a top solo effort by hooker Makaia Tafua and were the other try scorers, both in the final 10 minutes of the game

The Warriors now play away in another season prep game, this time against the Dolphins on Friday
