Walker takes silver at European BMX Championships

New Zealand champion Leila Walker has finished runner-up in elite women’s final in the latest round of the European BMX Championship in Sandness, Norway.
Walker, 21 who was invited to join the UCI World Training Centre in Aigle, Switzerland, enjoyed her first BMX competition after the world championships.
LATEST HEADLINES:
She finished second in the final behind Dutch international, Merel Smulderd who had 100 points in what was Round Nine of the series.
Walker finished on 86 points while third placed was another Dutchwoman Indy Scheepers with 74 points.
Walker was crowned Oceania champion earlier this year.
