A loss in the WTA US$125,000 doubles final in Catalonia, Spain for New Zealand's Lulu Sun and Canadian Leylah Fernandez.


They were beaten in straight sets by Bianca Andreescu (Canada) and Indonesia's Alidila Sutjiadi 6-2 6-4.

Meanwhile the kiwi team of Finn Reynolds and James Watt are through to the final of the doubles at the US$75,000 Ostrava Challenger in the Czech Republic.


They beat Patrik Niklas Salmine (Finland) and Szymon Walkow (Poland) in the semifinals 6-3, 4-6, 10-8 in one hour 27 minutes.


Reynolds and Watts saved 10 of the 11 break points against their serves and were successful with one the two opportunities on their opponents. Overall they won four points less than the Europeans.


In the final they'll play wildcards Jan Jermar (Czech) and Serb Stefan Latinovic.
