The Black Ferns and All Blacks Sevens squads for the first two legs of the 2025-2026 HSBC SVNS Sevens Series in Dubai and Cape Town have been named.


Both squads will have new captains with Risaleaana Pouri-Lane and Tone Ng Shiu, who will be playing in his 50th international sevens tournament, taking over the respective leadership roles when the season kicks off in Dubai from 29 November to 1 December.

Jorja Miller will deputise as vice-captain to Pouri-Lane, while Sione Langi Joseph Molia and Dylan Collier will share the vice captain’s duties in the men’s team.


There are two new faces in Coach Cory Sweeney’s Black Ferns Sevens squad with Rugby World Cup star Braxton Sorensen-McGee and 19-year-old Auckland and Blues player Danii Mafoe poised for debuts.


All Blacks Sevens coach Tomasi Cama has included three new faces in his squad with Bay of Plenty flyer Kele Lasaqa, Canterbury first-five Riley Williams and powerful Southland wing Fletcher Morgan set for Dubai debuts. All three stood out during the recent Ignite7 tournament at Mt Maunganui.


The All Blacks Sevens are in Pool B where they will face Great Britain, Australia and Spain, while the Black Ferns Sevens are in Pool A with France, Fiji and USA.
