Ryan Fox has finished in a tie for sixth at the BMW PGA Championship on the DP World Tour at Wentworth in Surrey.


The 2023 winner ended his tournament at 14-under three shots behind the winner, American J.J Spaun.

The four-under final round was a continuation of a consisten tournament for Fox who carded rounds of 68, 68, 70 and 68.


Fox now heads back to the US for the Presidents Cup which starts at Medinah Country Club in Illinois.


Fellow New Zealanders Daniel Hillier finished at nine-under and tied 36th while Kazuma Kobori was five-under and 56th.


Spaun birdied four of the final five holes to share the lead with Spain’s Manual Elvira who double bogey on the last hole handing the two-shot victory title to Spaun.


Elvira finished in a share of second at 15-under with Rory McIlroy, Aaron Rai and Adam Scott.


Spaun is the third American to win the tournament after Arnold Palmer and Billy Horschel (twice).
