Routliffe semis, Venus quarters US Open

The two New Zealand pairings have continued thieir winning ways IN their respective US Open doubles draws.
Erin Routliffe and her Canadian partner Gaby Dabrowski have reached the semifinals of the women's doubles after a strange scoreline on court 17.
LATEST HEADLINES:
The third seeds won a three-set victory over 11th seeds Timea Babos of Hungary and Luisa Stefani of Brazil.
Routliffe and Dabrowski lost the first set 6-0 before coming back to win the next two 6-4, 6-4 in two hours 20 minutes.
They'll face second seeds and Olympic champions Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini of Italy for a place in the final.
Routliffe and Dabrowski won the US Open doubles title in 2023 and have continued their run of success together having made the quarters or better at seven consecutive Grand Slams together.
In the men's draw Michael Venus and Yuki Bhambri of India are through to the quarterfinals
The 14th seeds defeated fourth seeds Tim Puetz and Kevin Krawietz of Germany in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 but had to push hard to do so in just under an hour and a half.
It's the second consecutive year in the quarters at the Open for Venus.
They'll meet 11th seeds Nikola Mektic of Croatia and American Rajeev Ram in the last eight.
