NZ Open tops $2 million in prize money

The 105th New Zealand Open has officially confirmed that a $2 million NZD total prize purse will be on offer when the tournament tees off in Queenstown on February 26.

The event continues to attract top international and local talent. The substantial purse underscores the tournament’s stature on the PGA Tour of Australasia, Asian Tour and Japan Golf Tour.

The New Zealand Open will also continue its professional player support programme by ensuring that every professional golfer who enters the field will receive a minimum payout — even if they do not make the 36‑hole cut. This initiative supports players in managing travel and participation costs, particularly for those journeying from overseas.

The 105th New Zealand Open presented by Millbrook Resort will be held between 26 February to 1 March 2026.
