":I'm just incredibly, I don't even have the words right now", said an emotional Sun

"I'm just so happy to play on this court in front of everyone."

It was Sun's seventh win in a row after coming through qualifying. She will now face Croatian Donna Vekic. who has a current WTA ranking of 37.

Sun became the first New Zealander to play a singles match on Centre Court at Wimbledon since Chris Lewis in the men’s final in 1983.

She has also become the first Kiwi woman ever to make it to the singles quarterfinal at Wimbledon.
