Kazuma Kobori has shot to a one shot lead at the Australian PGA Championship in Brisbane after a second round of eight-under.


Kobori, 24 carded a second round 63 to be 10-under overall, one shot ahead of China's Wenyi Ding.


LATEST HEADLINES:


Kobori hit bogeys at the second and third then eighth and ninth and then 12th before the one blemish at the 12th


He then birdied the final four holes of the round to continue his first round form which saw him hit a hole in one.


Daniel Hillier is tied ninth after a four-under second round 67 to be seven under for the tournament.


His second round featured five birdies and one bogey on the 17th.


The next best of the New Zealanders are Nick Voke and Ryan Fox at tied 21st.


Fox dropped from tied third overnight to five-under after posting a second round 70 whereas Voke carded a 66 thanks to seven birdies and two bogey.


Fox was looking good through the front nine with four birdies, however his final nine was a real mixture with a bogey on the 11th, a birdie on the 13th, double bogey seven on the 15th and bogey on the 17th for a one-under round.


Tyler Wood is four under and three Josh Geary were the other two Kiwis to make the cut.
