An improvement for Ryan Fox in the final round at the US Open at the Shinnecock Hills course in Southampton, New York.


Fox pulled back two shots on his last round for a 68, his best of the tournament to finish five-over and tied 23rd.


LATEST HEADLINES:


His front nine featured birdies at the the first, sixth and ninth holes. However the back nine had a bogey at the 15th followed by a birdie. Unfortunately a bogey on the last hole cost the kiwi a top-20 place.


The tournament was won by Wyndham Clark who held on for the titile after carding a four-over final round.,


Clark the 2023 champion finished just one shot ahead of fellow American Sam Burns.


Korea's Tom Kim was the only other player to finish under par.
