Finn Allen hits out for Big Bash century

Kiwi batter Finn Allen launched eight sixes in a 53-ball 101 in the Big Bash League on Thursday night, carrying his Perth Scorchers to a 50-run victory.
Allen, who will be lining up for New Zealand at the T20 World Cup next month, was at his belligerent best for the Perth Scorchers against the Melbourne Renegades at Marvel Stadium.

Allen smashed eight sixes, including three in succession, to go with five fours to notch the seventh century of the BBL season thus far. It is Allen’s fifth hundred from 169 career T20s.

The Renegades were never in the hunt despite fellow Kiwi Tim Seifert who hit 66 off 43 balls before being dismissed in the 16th over.
The only other player to make a reasonable stand was Fraser-McGurk Connolly with 42 as the Renegades made 169-7 .
The Scorchers and Melbourne Stars will battle for top spot that securest two home finals.
