Coll won the opening game 11-2, within 8 minutes over the Egyptian. He continued with the accurate shot making to claim the second set 11-1 and then the third by the same margin 11-1.
“I am happy to be in the final, obviously he [Gawad] had a brutal one last night and I knew that the start to each game was crucial,” said Coll.
“I hope he is all good and nothing is wrong, but I wanted to start each game well with no gifts and pin him in the back of the court.
Coll will meet top seed Mostafa Asal (Egypt) in the final. The last time the two played was in the decider at the Qatar Classic where the New Zealander came away with the win.
“Tomorrow is going to be tough, he [Mostafa Asal] is World No.1 and he’s a class player. He's been there for a while now but I’m feeling good about my game.
“I have just got to focus on myself and make it all about me, play my game and what I know works and just got to give it my best and the best man will win.”
