Coll into third final of 2026, faces Asal again

New Zealand squash star Paul Coll is into his third consecutive final of 2026 after a straight game win over Egypt's Karim Gawad at the Windy City Open in Chicago.
Second seeded Coll defeated fourth seed Gawad 11-1, 11-7, 11-5 in 38 minutes to reach the final where he will once again face world No 1 Mostafa Asal (Egypt).
LATEST HEADLINES:
Coll, 33 from Greymouth was too efficent with his game, starting quickly and putting pressure on his oppoennt and never letting up.
It will be a third final at the Windy City Open for Coll.
The New Zealander and Asal met in the final of the Tournament of Champions earlier this month with the Egyptian coming out winning in straight games.
Asal has a 15-7 record over Coll including the last three consecutive meetings.
