Black Ferns XVs wing Katelyn Vahaakolo has been called into the Black Ferns Sevens squad.
The dual-code international was named on Tuesday in the 14-player Black Ferns Sevens travelling squad for the first two tournaments of the World Sevens Series in Dubai (November 30-December 1) and Cape Town (December 7-8).

Joining Vahaakolo in the squad, either returning or for the first time are Dhys Faleafaga, Justine McGregor, Kelsey Teneti and Olive Watherston.
Kelly Brazier, a Tokyo 2020 gold medallist, returns to the Black Ferns Sevens fold, while returning are captain Sarah Hirini, Jazmin Felix-Hotham, Jorja Miller, Manaia Nuku, Mahina Paul, Risi Pouri-Lane, Alena Saili and Theresa Setefano.
Missing from the Paris Olympics gold medal-winning team are Portia Woodman-Wickliffe (sevens retirement), and Michaela Blyde, Tyla King and Stacey Waaka (injury).
