The Mainland Tactix are preparing for another chance at making the ANZ Premiership decider when they host the elimination final against the Northern Mystics in Christchurch on Saturday.

The Christchurch-based side and the defending champion Mystics have played twice this season, with split results, but the home side have the advantage of hosting this game at Wolfbrook Arena.

In Round 8, the Tactix won 56-42 in Auckland. But in Round 12 the Mystics turned the tables in Christchurch, winning 61-49.

The Mysitcs have won their last four matches after a slow and injury-hampered start.

The reward for the winner is the grand final against the Central Pulse at Wellington’s TSB Arena on Sunday, August 4.

The Pulse reached the final directly by beating the Tactix 58-44 on Monday to claim the regular season title.
