An improved second day was not quite enough to see New Zealand golfer Ryan Fox play the weekend at The Masters.
Following up on his disappointing five-over 77 in the opening round on Thursday (Friday NZ Time), Fox produced an even-par in the second round on Friday (Saturday NZT) to miss out by one stroke.

With the cut-line (for the top-50 and ties) sitting at four-over when he finished his round, the Kiwi No 1 would need more than a half-dozen golfers to drop one or more strokes to keep him alive.
After making five bogeys on the first-nine on Day 1, Fox was more consistent in the second round, with just the one blemish on his scorecard at the par-three sixth.
The world No 51 made birdies at the par-five 13th and par-four 17th, and a bogey at the par-16th on the second-nine.
Fox had made the cut in his two previous appearances at Augusta in 2023 and 2024, finishing T26 and T38. His preparation was hampered when he had to withdraw from the Players Championship last month due to kidney stones.
