New Zealand has been drawn in Group G of the FIFA 2026 World Cup in what is regarded as not the easiest, but not the hardest to play in.
The 48-team event will be held in Canada, Mexico and the United States starting June 11 to the final - July 19 in New York.
LATEST HEADLINES:
The All Whites who are 86th will face eighth ranked Belgium who they have never played previously plus Egypt who are 34th and Iran ranked 20th.
New Zealand Head Coach Darren Bazeley acknowledged no opposition would be easy.
"It's a good group, tough teams, but we knew they were all going to be tought games. We've got a top 10 team in Belgium. A really good team out of Aisa (Iran) and Egypt who we played a couple of years ago.
