The Breakers have one Australian National Basketball League (ANBL) regular season game before hitting the road, hosting the South East Melbourne Phoenix in their home opener at Auckland's Spark Arena on Sunday (tip-off 4pm).

The Breakers won their season opener 91-87 against the Brisbane Bullets at HoopsFest in Perth on Saturday, a game they led by as many as 26 points.

Breakers owner Matt Walsh was excited about the expanded tour, particularly the significance of playing the 76ers.

“Adding a third game to our schedule is incredible, and to do it against the Sixers in my hometown of Philadelphia makes it even more special,” Walsh said.

“As a team, we’re always pushing to compete on the biggest stages, and there’s no bigger basketball stage than the NBA. The opportunity to play three games against such talented opposition is huge for our development as a team and for the profile of the Breakers and ANBL.”

These games will be the Breakers' sixth, seventh and eighth ANBLxNBA games.
