New coach Gordan Herbert has almost completed the New Zealand Breakers' roster for the upcoming Australian NBL season with the signing of their last local player Anzac Rissetto.


Rissetto, a 208cm forward/centre, returns home after a couple of seasons playing for the South East Melbourne Phoenix.

The Aucklander also has international experience after two years of major collegiate basketball for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, an NCAA Division I side.


He refined his professional game in Germany, helping anchor the interior rotation for Phoenix Hagen as they captured the ProA championship title.


Rissetto said playing for the Breakers in front of his whānau was a "dream come true".


Rissetto also spent time at the Wellington Saints, Nelson Giants and Franklin Bulls in the NZNBL


The Breakers still have two import players to sign before the regular season tips off on 20 September against the Illawarra Hawks..
