Ko in contention as Korda runs hot on LPGA Tour

Dame Lydia Ko picked up one shot in her second round but dropped on the leaderboard at the Ford Championship in Arizona,


After a first round 60 at the Whirlwind Golf Club Ko had an up and down second round to finish at one-under.


LATEST HEADLINES:


She hit a bogey and a birdie to start followed by a birdie, bogey birdie in holes fives to seven.


In the back nine there was a birdie on the 12th and then a bogey on the 13th to have an overall score of 13-under in tied third.


The 28-year-old New Zealander was overtaken by Nelly Korda who carded a seven-undewr round 65 to go with her first day score of 63.


Korda sits at 16-under overall, two shots ahead of Hyo Joo Kim of Korea in second who is the defending champion.


Ko is next alongside Jenny Bae (United States), Miami Katsu of Japan in third.
