Lydia Ko has put In a late surge in the final round of the CPKC Classic in Ontario, Canada to finish in a tie for fifth.


Ko finished at nine under for the tournament after a final round featuring birdies at fifth and sixth holes and just the solitary bogey on the eighth.

On the back nine she nailed three consecutive birdies on the 13-15th holes for a 67.


The tournament was won by Canadian Brooke Henderson at at 15-under one shot ahead of Austraiian Minjin Lee.


The fifth place result was the best for twenty-eight-year-old Ko since winning the Women's World Championship in Singapore in February - March earlier this year.
