Breakers ready for top three-on-the-road games
After a short time at home the Breakers are back in Australia on a three-game road trip that sees them take on the top three teams on the NBL ladder in eight days.
For the second time in less than three weeks, the Breakers are in Perth to face the third placed Wildcats on Saturday night, before travelling to Canberra and an Ignite Cup match up against top of the table Sydney Kings on Wednesday.

They then wrap up the trip in Hobart and the second placed Tasmania JackJumpers on Sunday 18th.
With a three-win two-loss record and fourth place on the NBL ladder, Breakers centre Sam Mennenga is not daunted by the prospect of taking on the current top three in a week, confident that the work the team is doing on the practice floor will stand them in good stead this week.
“We respect every team in this league, results already this season show that no one is safe, any team can beat any time on a given night. Right now, our focus is on Perth and not looking further ahead, a bit cliched I know, but one game at a time.
We feel we missed an opportunity here just a week or so back and as a group there is a determination to put that right on Saturday,” said Mennenga.
“We will scout Perth and prepare for what we think they will bring, but as has been the case all season, we are focusing on us first, making sure we bring the best version of the BNZ Breakers from tip off, play the way we know we can play. If we do that, we are confident results will come our way, we back ourselves for sure.”
There is much interest in Perth and around the NBL whether new Wildcats import Brandon Knight will play.
The former NBA guard arrived in Australia a week ago and is tipped to suit up for the three and one Wildcats at RAC Arena, adding another piece of intrigue and NBA glitz to NBL27.
