Black Ferns Sevens suffer shock loss to Australia

The Black Ferns Sevens have been stunned by Australia in the semifinals of the latest World Series tournament in Spain.
Australia won the men's and women's titles but it was their 28-26 win over New Zealand which counted after being down 21-7 at halftime.

New Zealand raced into the early lead, via Mahina Paul and Stacey Waaka – but with 20 seconds left on the clock, Tia Hinds converted Kaitlin Shave’s touchdown, the eighth of an end-to-end match, to take Australia into a 28-26 lead.
The win for Australia put a stop to six consecutive losses to the Black Ferns.
Australia then beat the United States in the women's final 27-14 and overtake New Zealand by two points on the points ladder.
The Black Ferns finished third beating Canada 50-14 for bronze.
The All Blacks Sevens finished fifth beating Spain as Australia beat South Africa for the men's title.
The SVNS World Championship in Bordeaux is held next weekend.
