Black Ferns continue unbeaten record over Wallaroos

The Black Ferns have continued their record of never losing to Australia. The accounted for the Wallaroos 40 to 5 to claim the Pacific Four Series on the Sunshine Coast.
At a wet Sunshine Coast Stadium, the Black Ferns scored six tries to one to retain both the Pacific Four Series crown and the O'Reilly Cup.

The result also took their unbeaten run against the Wallaroos to 30 Tests.
Black Ferns centre Amy du Plessis opened the scoring with a try in the fourth minute of play.
After a disallowed try for a forward pass on the TMO's review the Wallaroos made the most of the reprieve by striking back on the scoreboard through captain Siokapesi Palu Sekona in the 23rd minute.
The well-constructed try reduced the Black Ferns' lead to 7-5, but it was as close as the Wallaroos could get to their opponents.
The Black Ferns proceeded to shift gears and score 33 unanswered points.
Ayesha Leti-I'iga managed a double, while Veisinia Mahutariki-Fakalelu, Justine McGregor and Laura Bayfield also scored tries.
Renee Holmes landed five conversions from six attempts.
The Wallaroos didn't give up, but once again the Black Ferns were too well-drilled for their trans-tasman rivals.
The two sides will meet again in Auckland on August 22.
