Auckland FC have continued their inconsistent start to the A-League season conceding a stoppage-time goal to draw 1-1 against the Roar in Brisbane.

Captain Hiroki Sakai opened the scoring with a goal for Auckland in the 11th minute. Logan Rogerson then hit the bar shortly after as they went to the break 1-0 up.

The home side came out in the second half aggressive and chasing goals with a passionate crowd behind them.

However it wasn't until the 95th minute that Auckland held off defending a corner, and Brisbane captain Tom Aldred managed to get a shot through a maze of players to score the equaliser on what was effectively the last play of the game.

Auckland FC are sixth on the table with four points from three games - one win, one big loss and one draw.

They host the Wellington Phoenix in the New Zealand derby next weekend.
