New Zealand Cricket has announced a preliminary deficit of $7.3 million for the last financial year and is planning on cutting the broadcast schedule for the final T20 Super Smash as a result.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has this confirmed enhancements to the format structure for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2028 to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
